The Astronomical Research Institute Mission

Astronomical Research Institute students and teacher research programs are designed for science education in astronomy.  The goal of ARI is to help teach current scientific understanding of astronomy and physics as presented in high school and university classrooms around the world.  Most importantly, our programs are designed to be fun and educational for students!

IASC known as the International Asteroid Search Campaign has joined ARI in an education and public outreach program that is involving 25 schools in 9 countries around the world.  Our goal in this program is to bring the educational aspects of astronomy and bring awareness to NASA's Near Earth Object Observations Program.

Students involved in ARI and IASC will learn techniques that can be used in the classroom that will be submitted to the Minor Planet Center.  If you, your school or students would like to be a part of this research project, be sure to contact the Astronomical Research Institute for complete details.

Students also receive Killer Asteroid Project awards for their participation in NASA's Near Earth Object Observation Program.
